Both Sleep Number and Tempur-Pedic have pros and cons when it comes to couples sharing a bed. Now, if you are like my husband and me, maybe you and your partner prefer different firmness options. One disadvantage of the Sleep Number mattress construction is that it only utilizes one air chamber per side of the bed. Another challenge with the overall design of Sleep Number is the lack of a support bar down the middle of the bed. Without a supportive bar to separate the right and left air chambers, you and your partner are more prone to rolling into the center of the bed. Again, this causes the air to dispel towards the outer edges of the bed. This is especially likely to happen if you and your partner tend to prefer different firmnesses.

Sleep Better With A Sleep Number Bed

We had the wonderful opportunity to review a Sleep Number® m7 bed, the new memory foam bed from Sleep Number! We love our sleep around here, so we jumped for joy for this review!
First, we went to the Sleep Number store to find out how the Sleep Number technology works. My hubby and I both got to find our sleep number from a trained professional, Tony. He was so nice and helpful and told us all we needed to know about the bed we would be getting. First, we laid down on the Sleep Number and Tony filled both sides of the bed to 100. Then he told us to tell him to stop when we felt comfortable and that the bed wasn’t pushing against us. It was pretty cool to see the pressure points on the screen:
Tony spent a lot of time with us. He told us about his experiences with Sleep Number and I could tell he loved what he did and believes in the Sleep Number bed!
After our Individual Fit was over, we discovered that we were both a 30, as that was the most comfy number to sleep on. It is all based on weight and pressure though, so a 30 to me is not the same as a 30 for my husband! His side is too squishy for me and mine is too firm for him!

My wife and I were ready to replace our eight year old memory foam mattress. However, this time was different as we now both have lower back issues, and I have bad neck issues. We stopped into the competing air adjustable bed store, and were not impressed with the slick sales tactics.So we researched and found Sleep Comfort. The salesperson, Donna, answered all of our questions, offered us solutions and gave us a really favorable impression.Well after 1 1/2 months, I can safely say this is the most comfortable bed weve ever owned. I have absolutely no complaints whatsoever. It performs exactly as advertised, and we would recommend this bed to anyone

Have used the Personal Comfort bed for about six weeks and compare it to the Sleep Number bed we have used for over 30 years. The engineering and design is better thought out in the Personal Comfort bed. I like the wired simple controls over the confusing wireless type. Both beds adjust to your comfort level but the Sleep Number cost more. Its also noteworthy that the construction of the Sleep Number has gone down. Dollar for dollar the Personal Comfort bed is a better value.

Best flocking bed Ive ever had. No seriously, this thing is so nice and plush. I sleep better than Princess Di after a visit to Paris. Sooooo good.

Sleep Number Mattress Construction
Sleep Number is an adjustable air bed that utilizes air chambers connected to a pump that allow you to control the fill of air. By adjusting how soft or firm the bed is at any given time you can control the support you receive. The air chambers are then surrounded by a supportive wall of foam and topped with memory foam to provide comfort and pressure-relief.
Adjustments to the fill of the air chambers can be made through the Sleep Number app. This does require a WiFi/Bluetooth connectivity but allows for some pretty cool smart bedfeatures such as sleep tracking.
