Cover The Perfect Sleepers CoolFeel cover is made of a breathable polyester blend. This fabric is made with HeiQ Vblock antimicrobial technology, and should help prevent harmful microorganisms from growing on your sleep surface. The cover is also quilted with polyurethane foam to give this mattress a pillow-soft feel.
Comfort Layer Next up, the Perfect Sleeper has a layer of memory foam infused with cooling gel to offer additional comfort. Serta says this aims to give you pressure relief and make it feel like youre sleeping on a cloud. The cool twist gel memory foam in the Serta also sleeps cooler than traditional memory foam.
Support Layer The Perfect Sleeper uses a pocketed coil support system. Its coils are individually wrapped in fabric, so theyll move independently from each other. This will help the coils isolate motion and provide custom support to each sleeper. These coils extend all the way to the edge of the mattress and are surrounded by Sertas Best Edge Foam Encasement to provide additional edge support to this bed.

The iComfort CF40000 is an all-foam mattress that has carbon fiber infused foam, a cool-to-the touch cover, and Sertas Air Support Foam. The Air Support Foam has perforations that allow more air to move within the mattress, as well as helping the foam to contour around your body and relieve pressure. Serta Perfect Sleeper Renewed Night Vs Nectar Mattress
Nectar is a popular memory foam mattress thats more affordable, with a Queen size mattress priced at just over $1,000. Nectar is another good mattress for hot sleepers who want a foam bed, as it uses gel memory foam to keep the mattress and sleeper from overheating. The Nectar mattress is medium-firm, so its great for average-weight side sleepers and lightweight back sleepers.

The four Serta Perfect Sleeper mattresses discussed here are made with foam and memory foam atop a pocketed-coil support unit and have a very traditional feel.
All four mattresses use the same pocketed coil unit with 825 coils in a queen size. Along all the edges is a foam encasement meant to shore up edge support.
All models also contain Serta’s Cool Twist foam depending on the model, this is either standard foam or memory foam infused with gel. As a known conductor of heat, it’s intended to help draw heat from the body and keep you cool.
Regardless of whether the model includes Cool Twist foam or memory foam, none of these models have any memory feel — that slow, melting-into-the-bed sensation that’s associated with memory foam. So if you want the pressure-relieving advantages of memory foam but aren’t a fan of that melting sensation, these mattresses fit that description.

Serta Perfect Sleeper Palm Coast Plush
Stepping up in the line, Palm Coast Plush measures 13.5″ tall, and it has quite a few upgrades over the Charlotte. It features three total inches of foam atop the coil unit. There’s a 1/2″ of the Cool Twist Memory Foam plus another 2″ of Cool Twist foam, so there’s quite a bit more gel in this mattress.
The cover is also an upgrade, now a knit cover that’s more stretchy and more breathable than the woven cover on the Charlotte. The cover also has antimicrobial properties, intended to help the mattress stay fresh.
On our scale, the Palm Coast Plush has a Medium feel, and Medium cushioning this mattress will hug your curves and let you sink in more than the Charlotte mattress.
Although there’s some memory foam in this bed, it has none of that “melting” sensation we tend to associate with memory foam. Rather, this mattress feels very traditional, with quite a bit of bounce.

The Willow Brook Plush Pillow Top mattress measures 14″ tall, and is a Soft on our scale — it’s the softest of the four mattresses in this Perfect Sleeper collection, with almost 4″ total inches of foam and memory foam, including a 1/2″ layer of the Cool Twist Memory Foam, and 2″ of Cool Twist Foam.
You also get the knitted antimicrobial cover. We felt the deepest cushioning on this mattress, with more of a hugged/cradled sensation as opposed to a floating-on-top feeling.

Serta Perfect Sleeper Mattress Pain Relief Performance
A beds ability to alleviate pressure at the shoulders and hips is an important factor for every sleeper to consider. But its especially important if you struggle with pain, as youll want a bed that prevents you from getting more stiff and sore overnight.
To measure the pressure relief on this Perfect Sleeper, I used a pressure map. I laid the mat out on the mattress and then lay on top of the mat in different positions. Youll see the pressure map range from red and yellow in high pressure areas to green and blue in low pressure areas as it measures how much pressure the Perfect Sleeper is putting on different parts of my body.
Back Pain This mattress is a great option for sleepers with back pain. A straight spine is important for avoiding back pain and stiffness, and the Perfect Sleeper is supportive enough to promote a healthy sleep posture for side and back sleepers. If youre looking for an even softer option, you can add a pillow top to relieve lumbar tension in multiple different positions. This model is going to be too soft of a mattress for stomach sleepers with back pain, but Serta does offer an extra firm option.
Hip Pain The pressure map is mainly blue and green around my hips. This is a good sign for side and back sleepers with hip pain. I think this bed did a nice job relieving pressure in that area. Because its a softer mattress, it would likely contribute to hip pain for stomach sleepers as their hips would sink too far into the bed.
Serta Perfect Sleeper Renewed Night Vs Beautyrest Harmony Lux Hybrid Mattress
The Beautyrest Harmony Lux Hybrid is a bed from another legacy mattress brand. Its a hybrid mattress with a classic hotel bed feel. Its a firm mattress, so its a great pick for back and stomach sleepers, but not so much for side sleepers who need a bit more cushioning.
The Beautyrest Harmony Lux Hybrid is also a great cooling mattress, thanks to its hybrid construction and its SEAQUAL cover, which feels cool to the touch. SEAQUAL is a fabric made from post-consumer plastic waste, so it also gets a point for environmental friendliness.

What Are Sertas Trial Return And Warranty Policies
Serta gives customers a 120-day trial.
Serta mattresses come with a 120-day free trial, meaning you can return your mattress for a full refund anytime in the first four months or so. The company says it will work with you to pick up your mattress from your home for free. But this only applies to mattresses purchased on Serta.com, so if you buy the mattress through another website, you need to check its return policy.
The company also offers a limited warranty for 10 years that protects against defects in material and workmanship. This doesnt cover consumer damage or comfort. The companys online claim form says if a claim is approved, the owner will have to pay an $85 delivery fee for a new mattress. This fee could vary if you don’t live in the 48 contiguous states. Examples of complaints in the warranty claim form include a foam mattress sagging more than ¾ inches or rips on a mattress seam.
The company advises that customers keep mattresses on box springs, platform beds, or slatted bed frames where slates are not more than two inches apart. When you file a warranty claim, you will have to say what sort of frame the mattress is on, which to us indicates that using an unapproved base may negate the warranty.

The Serta Perfect Sleeper Renewed Night Mattress is fairly inexpensive for a hybrid mattress. The use of both memory foam and pocketed coils tends to increase the cost of a mattress, but this model combines these materials without sacrificing quality or increasing the price.
All three firmness levels of the Renewed Night Mattress cost the same, which means you dont have to pay more for a softer or firmer model.
This is the base model of the Perfect Sleeper lineup, and the lower cost can be explained by the simpler construction. Shoppers can choose to upgrade to a Perfect Sleeper model with additional layers of memory foam. Pillow-top variations of each model are also available for an additional charge.

Layer #1: CoolFeel Cover: The cover of the Serta Perfect Sleeper Renewed Night is cool-to-the-touch, creating a cooler sleep surface. Its made with biobased Phase Change Material, meaning it comes from plant-based materials and changes according to your body temperature.
Layer #2: HeiQ Vblock: On the top layer of the mattress is Sertas HeiQ Vblock, which is an antimicrobial material that Serta claims kills 99 percent of bacteria on contact.
