Sleep Number Bed Review

by | Apr 18, 2018 | a slice of life, Balance |

Disclosure: This post is sponsored by Sleep Number®. As always, all words and opinions are my own.

If you remember, back in December we went to our local Sleep Number store in Rochester, MN, to select a new mattress and foundation. Jeff and I have very different mattress preferences and this had led to one or both of us not loving our mattress. It would be perfect for me, but too soft for him. We would try a firmer mattress, but it still wasnt as board-like as he wanted and I would pad it with as much memory foam as he could stand, so my hips wouldnt ache in the morning. If you have this problem, you know just what Im talking about.

Anyway, as I shared in THIS POST, both Jeff and I went through the full in-store Sleep Number experience to discover our preferred Sleep Number setting and select the options we wanted in a mattress and foundation.

We selected the Sleep Number 360® i10 Smart Bed in a king size and it was delivered a couple of weeks later. Of course, it did mean upheaval in the master bedroom just days before Christmas, but it was worth it to get the room painted and ready.

And, let me just insert here that Im so happy we went with the king-sized mattress. Not only is it much more comfortable for us, but it fills the room so much better than our queen bed did.

Here are a couple of examples of my SleepIQ score

And here is what Jeffs sleep looked like a couple of nights

Sleep Number Beds Were Pleasant

I stayed in this hotel a couple times back when it was a Sleep Inn, so by now it is showing some wear, but the new Sleep Number beds had me waking up smiling. It had a really good selection for breakfast with eggs and sausage, waffles, fresh fruit, cereal, muffins and so on. High points for housekeeping as the rooms are very clean and the one problem we had was immediately taken care of. My sole complaint is with the rooms designated as handicap-accessible which one of our party requested. We were promised a room “right off the breakfast area.” But the room available was located as far from the front desk/breakfast area as was architecturally possible, next to a secondary entrance with steps and no ramp. The closet area was hung at wheelchair level, according to ADA guidelines, but the shower was in the bathtub… which, if one was using a wheelchair, would be impossible to use. Since this hotel is just a couple miles from the Mayo Clinic, accomodating older people who might not be feeling like a long hike with their walkers might be a little more of a priority.More

The room was very clean, comfortable and QUIET. I could find nothing to complain about. I’ll be back for sure.
