What Type Of Damage Is Covered

How To Fix Air Loss in a Sleep Number® Bed

Mattress warranties cover defects in workmanship or materials, not normal wear and tear. This begs the question, what is considered a covered defect versus wear and tear?

Every mattress company has different guidelines as to what they consider a defect. To know whats covered, you must get into a warrantys fine print. Fortunately, weve done that for you!

Heres whats covered under the Sleep Number warranty.

  • Firmness Control System: Every part of the mattress involved in firmness control is covered by the warranty. This includes the air pump, air chambers, and hose. Additionally, the hardware that supports Responsive Air technology is covered.
  • SleepIQ Hardware and Software: While much of the SleepIQ system coverage is outlined in the SleepIQ User Agreement, the hardware and software that facilitate this Smart Bed technology is covered under the warranty.

Choose The Highest Number Setting

Since Sleep Number mattresses are designed to eliminate pressure points by conforming to your body, it is only natural to notice impressions on the mattress and cover . This body imprint, however, is only temporary and should disappear after you leave the bed. If it does not go away after you get up, then chances are your bed is set to a lower Sleep Number setting. Adjust the setting to 100 to address any uneven appearance on the bed when it is unoccupied.

For a Sleep Number 360 smart bed, set your bed to fill out automatically by turning on the Responsive Air feature. Additionally, remember to fluff your comfort layer if you have one that goes with your bed. Avoid shaking it vigorously as this cover does not have foam or fiberfill in it. The correct way to do this is to smooth out the comfort layer with your hand once fully inflated. Contact customer support if youre still unable to get rid of the unevenness. Or if you are in the middle of your warranty and this happens, maybe it is time for a mattress replacement.

Ensure There Is No Air Loss

Contrary to what most owners think, air loss occurs every time air is put back in the mattress after sleeping on it. In turn, your Sleep Number bed keeps deflating or sinks in the middle, which is easily resolved by placing the Sleep Number setting to 100. But in some cases, it is caused by a broken connection or a leak in your beds air chamber, hoses, or Firmness Control System . Verify if this is the case through careful inspection. Different Sleep Number bed models would have the air chamber connectors located either at the head of the bed, inside the mattress, or under it. For instance, a Sleep Number 360 smart bed would have these hose connections on the side of the mattress.

Once you have identified where the hose connections are, follow the steps below:

  • Find the white air chamber caps they are usually stored inside the base, together with the pump. Depending on your bed model, you may need to look for an adjustable or a stationary base to locate the air chamber caps.
  • While the air chamber is capped off, switch off the Responsive Air feature in your bed controls.
  • Sleep on your bed for at least three nights or until the mattress gets super soft. Take note if the mattress continues to lose air despite the chamber being capped off. If yes, there is likely a leak in the air chamber, and potentially damaged parts would warrant replacement or repair. If the issue resolves after capping off the air chamber, then the leak is in the pump.

I Specialize In Repairing And Rebuilding Sleep Number Beds

    • Covering up the broken fitting with a cap will produce a false negative meaning consumers think the air chambers is ok and so they by an expensive Sleep Number® pump for their Sleep Number® Bed thinking this will fix it. But this causes them to still have an air leak because the broken fitting is still on the air chamber covered up by the cap.
    • This air leak repair kit works 100% of the time to repair broken air chamber fittings!
    • It also includes the f236 fitting for Sleep Number® Bed Pump hoses! These commonly dry out and or crack off.
    • As an added testing feature, if after adding the m236 large hose and f236 fitting, you still have air leaking, we include tight fitting caps
    • If you find that after cap testing your Sleep Number® bed with the air leak repair kit on, you may need to patch a hole so I added patches!
    • With patches added, Sleep Number® bed owners can now repair air chambers and pump hose connections without replacing the chambers!
    • This leaves pumps for Sleep Number® beds being the only parts we cannot repair, in which case I have invented a new line of pumps and air chambers that can be used to repair your Sleep Number® Bed air leaks if needed!

This Is Like Heaven For Postpartum Patients

Dr. Robbins checked in about one month after Ottos birth she had learned about Boram from acolleague. It was her third cesarean section and she found post-operation recovery very difficult all the more so because she had a 4-year-old and 2-year-old at home.

When she arrived at Boram, she was mentally and physically exhausted, so she delighted in the marble bathtub, rainfall shower, Nespresso machine and Swedish Duxiana bed. Her suite was also equipped with a hospital-grade bassinet and eco-friendly Coterie diapers. Menu items include foods believed to nourish new mothers: seaweed soup, bone marrow and steak.

She checked out the mothers lounge, a serene space with plants and cozy couches. There were lactation cookies, at least half a dozen types of teas and a refrigerator full of hydrating beverages. The lounge is also where Boram brings in pediatricians, physical therapists and mental health experts offering general seminars on topics including pelvic floor therapy and how to fall asleep more quickly.

Dr. Robbinss favorite part of the floor, however, was the nursery, helmed by a former Lenox Hill Hospital N.I.C.U. nurse educator and staffed by employees with a background in infant care, to watch the baby whenever the mother wants.

I sent Otto to the nursery within three minutes of being there, said Dr. Robbins. And I went to sleep.

Which Sleep Number Bed Pump Do You Have

How To Move a Sleep Number 360® Smart Bed With Integrated Base

It goes by the hose connections, being able to see the Sleep Number® pump connections with the foam rail at the head of the bed removed, you will be able to count the number of hoses attached.

1 = a single chamber Sleep Number® bed – twin , twin xl, full, queen single chamber.

    2 = either 2 hoses to a single Sleep Number® chamber?

    2 = 1 hose to each of 2 Sleep Number® air chambers

4 = 2 hoses to each Sleep Number® air chamber

if so, “do you have 1 smaller hose and 1 larger hose on your Sleep Number® bed? Or are they both the same size?”

Because a Sleep Number® bed Pump with dual ports operation is different than single port pump operation

    – with a Sleep Number® bed pump that has a single port per side the pump inflates and reads the pressure to one side in the same hose!

    – with a Sleep Number® bed pump that has 2 hoses per side dual port pump operation one hose inflates and deflates and one only reads pressure.

    – this is important because If you cap off the small hose port of your Sleep Number® bed pump and the pump can not read the pressure you may end up blowing a seam in your Sleep Number® bed air chamber!

    – Make sure to have your Air Leak Repair Kits ready, we offer fast shipping options to get them to you quick..

Once you have found out how many connections you have, you will be able to order the correct number of repair parts needed.
