Its hard to overstate how self-conscious I felt about the way I looked when I first started lifting. I wore literal layers to the gym, shorts on top of leggings, in the hope of drawing as little attention to myself as possible. After a while I came to realize no one really cared what I was wearing, and as we know, no amount of clothing will deter people who have a will to harass you . Now I am one of the monsters going around in leggings and a sports bra.

Adeles Weight Loss Journey So Far

Its only recently that Adele has spoken personally about her weight loss, though, telling British Vogue why she didnt share more on social media at the time.

I did it for myself and not anyone else. So why would I ever share it? I dont find it fascinating. Its my body, she said.

People have been talking about my body for 12 years. They used to talk about it before I lost weight. But yeah, whatever, I dont care, she said. You dont need to be overweight to be body positive, you can be any shape or size.

Adele has also said that her workout routine, which she credits for her transformation, wasnt just about changing how she looked physically.

The singer revealed that she placed trust in her trainer to help her feel more at ease working out and exercising every day gave her discipline and helped to fill her blank schedule.

It was a schedule that was only empty until autumn this year, however, as Adele released the first single from her new album, Easy On Me, in October.
