I wrote a review before for the Alexander signature bed, but it did not get posted. It was either too long or nest bedding didn’t like what I said. I ordered the bed in the king size and medium firmness. At first the medium felt very hard and I had to check the tag on the bed to confirm it was medium. After a few weeks the bed softens up very nicely. Overall the alexander signature is extremely supportive and provided great pressure relief. the main issue my wife and I had was the bed slept very hot. We purchased a foundation from nest that was breathable . We also purchased bamboo sheets, wool comforter and linen duvet cover and four different bed protectors . Using the organic cotton bed protector the bed was cool enough to sleep on on most days. Ultimately we returned the bed for the hybrid latex. The bed would be a 5 star product if it slept cooler.

I returned my signature hybrid bed for the signature series “medium” because the hybrid did not feel enough like memory foam for me. Nest Bedding’s Quail mattress is a 10 all-foam bed. The top layer is a 3 piece of the companys Energex foam. Nest claims that this foam has the pressure-relieving properties of memory foam . In our evaluations, we found the Quail mattress to have a Medium Soft softness level with very good support and spinal alignment for back sleepers and side sleepers in particular.
Motion isolation was excellent in our standard tests, with both a 16-lb. bowling ball as well as our 200-lb. tester. Part of that owes to this beds quick-responding top layer of foam, with almost none of that slow-responding/melting feeling you would get with a memory foam bed. That makes the Quail bed a good choice for those who are concerned about feeling a partners movements on the other side of the bed.
If you are a back or side sleeper, we do think the Quail is worth consideration.
Overall, we felt the Quail mattress would be a good choice for those who sleep primarily on their backs and sides, who prefer a softer, more cushioned mattress.
