Sleep Number gives you 100 nights to test drive their beds. There are a lot of moving parts built into a Sleep Number bed. We would recommend you take 30 nights of sleeping before deciding whether to keep any mattress. We would recommend taking at least that amount of time for the Sleep Number. You may need some time to figure out which number/firmness at which you sleep most comfortably.
If you decide the mattress, or any of the individual layers, doesnt work for you, just initiate a return within 100 days. Sleep Number has to authorize it before you can expect a return. Once you initiate a return, you have 30 days to get it back to Sleep Number. You will pay to return your mattress. After all of that, and after your returns have arrived at Sleep Number, youll have to wait 21 days for your refund.
But you can exchange your mattress for an upgrade or downgrade. Youll have to pay the difference for the upgrade. Youll get a refund of some portion of the difference if you choose a lower-priced model.
Sleep Number 360 P5 Smart Mattress
The Sleep Number 360 p5 is an air bed with one or two adjustable air chambers and a 4″ comfort layer on top. It’s an upgraded version of the Sleep Number Classic mattress series, and it has an extra layer of foam meant to enhance pressure relief.
The p5 and pSE models have the same 4-inch comfort layer and features, except the pSE comfort layer is made of a foam that will retain less heat. The pSE and the p6 each have all of the same features, including the cooler comfort layer, but the pSE has a 4-inch comfort layer vs. a 5-inch comfort layer in the p6.

The Sleep Number Innovation Series
The Innovation Series is Sleep Numbers highest-end, plushest line. Although these mattresses arguably dont feel as plush as most foam or innerspring mattresses of similar price, the beds in this line actually feel like nice mattresses. If I were set on a Sleep Number mattress and could afford to do so, Id spend more for the Innovation lines added cushioning. But for someone like my husband, who just wants something adjustable and comfortable enough to sleep on, a less-expensive p6 would do just fine.
The i8 comes with 6 inches of foam and a temperature-balancing surface , and it felt pleasantly pillowy. The i10, with its additional inch of foam, was just a tad fluffier. Like the pSE from the companys Performance line, the iLE is not a typical fixture in-store, and it, too, has the ClimaTemp foam, described by the company as softer and more cooling.
Is A Sleep Number Mattress Worth The Price
Sleep Number mattresses are pricier than many nonadjustable mattresses. Youll pay about $899 to $4,299 for a queen-size mattress.

Before we jump into recommendations, its important to note that the experience of sleeping on an airbed can feel quite different from that of more traditional mattress styles, like all-foam or hybrid beds. The Sleep Number 360 Ile Smart Bed Sleeping Experience
I was primarily a side sleeper. My wife often changed positions. Being able to put up your head and feet took some getting used to. We settled into what is known as the Zero G position: head and feet up, core pulled down by gravity into the center of your Sleep Number mattress .
I think I sleep better. I had chronic shoulder and hip pain before moving to Sleep Number. In the new configuration, my shoulder pain is completely gone, at least the pain I would attribute to sleeping on a bad mattress. The hip pain remainsusually a dull ache that I dont ascribe to sleepingand I think the new mattress no longer contributes to worsening of that pain at night.
When you first get into bed, settle for a moment and let the bed adjust to you. After a few minutes, you will feel the adjustments toward your sleep number, and other micro-adjustments. Then you can move to your favorite head and foot position.
Open the app, click on the FlexBase feature, and adjust the head or foot to your preferred positions. Push the button up, and the corresponding feature gets invoked. The head rises, the feet rise. Dont worry about overreaching on either its easy enough to retreat to a new position.
Delivery Returns And Warranties:
Products by Value Bed are delivered free of charge by UPS ground. In-person pickup is available for $200 per line. The Home Delivery team will install the air pumps on your Sleep Number Comfort Service Mattress and demonstrate how to use the iPhone app. If normal conditions apply, we deliver your mattress to your door. My mattress only had one chamber instead of the two I requested due to a New York traffic jam, although my delivery window was missed twice. I realized this after my third delivery attempt. A Sleep Number representative emailed me once my reorder had been confirmed. Customer service did not seem to be a major problem for most according to user reviews.
There is a 100-night trial period for Sleep Number mattresses, but you are only allowed to return the mattress after 30 days. Choosing to return the mattress also incurs a $200 restocking fee. There is no return policy for mattresses with adjustable bases.
