Then along comes the It Bed by Sleep Number, which the company claims is “smarter than the average bed.” We don’t test for that, but we can tell you whether it will help you sleep.The It Bed by Sleep Number, $1,100, is a bit of a departure for the company in the way its sold and delivered. Most shoppers buy a Sleep Number bed in one of the companys 450 stores and have it delivered and set up in their home by the company. The It Bed is a direct-to-consumer play like the trendy beds-in-a-box from Casper and Tuft & Needle. You buy it online and set it up yourself. And that’s what we did.

What We Think About Sleep Number Mattresses
In general, we think you can get a more comfortable mattress for a lot less. But if you insist on Sleep Numbers adjustability because you and your partner cant compromise on a firmness level, and you have a flexible budget, we think only the Performance Series and Innovation Series mattresses and the Cooling Memory Foam mattress are worth considering. The less expensive Classic Series mattresses and the Value Bed lines are just too thin for most people. If you like a plush mattress with good support, then you should spend more for the Innovation Series beds, which have thicker cushioning.
Beyond SleepIQ, Sleep Numbers marketing also touts technology that claims to help you fall asleep faster with a foot-warming feature. You can also theoretically control your partners snoring by raising the upper portion of their side of the bed. However, these features are available only with the companys adjustable bases , which cost between $1,200 and $2,400 for a queen.

Mattress broke down in less than six months. Am 65 years old and never had a mattress sag to a point that I needed a body pillow to stay in the bed. Worst ever.

The biggest draw for me was that they offer really kick-ass financing. You can do deals like 4 years no interest, which makes it manageable to upgrade your furniture. I would say that if you’re in the market for a mattress, Denver Mattress is a good place to start!

In 2003 my girlfriend and I noticed severe sagging in the middle within 12 months of purchasing a $800 mattress from this company. When we laid in it, we both rolled to the middle of the bed because the bed was like a valley. WE called and complained and a guy came out and measured it with a string across and said he didn’t see any sagging. We laughed and asked him to please lie down in it. He refused and said it would not be covered and all they could offer was $50 credit towards a new one. Total BS. A mattress should last 10-20 years . This company is the worst mattress company in the world. Buyer beware.

The Best Night’s Sleep
If you’re looking for a better night’s sleep, the Sleep Number 360 Smart Bed will likely get you there on its sheer comfort factor alone. It also provides your personal sleeping metrics, as well as insights into how to build better sleep habits. It requires a bit of active participation on your part, but of all the sleep tech I’ve tested so far, it’s been the most effective at improving my overall sleep quality.
That said, it’s quite a hefty investmentyou’re looking at $1,400 at the bare minimum. This is softened by a 100-day trial period and a 25-year limited warranty, but it’s a heck of a lot more expensive than your average fitness tracker or smartwatch. But keep in mind you have to remember to wear a tracker to bed every night, which not everyone finds comfortable, and is probably the same time you usually charge it.

If your body type generates extra heat or you just want to sleep cooler, all our memory foam beds come with the option of adding on our patented Airflow Transfer System, which allows cooler air to flow in two directions even when you sleep in the same position all night. Cooler air will enter through the many small holes that go down through the surface of the memory foam and out through the convoluted channels on the firmer base foam.
