The best part about the Sleep Number 360 Smart Bed is its customizability. That starts with the various configurations available for the bed itself. I tested the $3,800 king FlexTop P6 mattress, the $2,100 FlexFit 1 traditional base and two $850 DualTemp mattress pads. All together, that comes to $7,600.

Since we’re comparing the 360 bed to queen-size competitors from Beautyrest, Eight and Winkbed, I priced out the queen version of the bed I tested — it comes to $5,500.

Whether it’s a king or a queen bed, the 360 Smart Bed by Sleep Number, with optional accessories like the FlexFit 1 base and the DualTemp pads, is expensive. See how it stacks up against other connected beds in the chart below.

Why Would Someone Pick This Model Over The Other Sleep Number Mattresses

The I-LE is a great mix of foam comfort, contoured support, and cooling features. Those who sleep hot and who like sleeping on beds that provide a good amount of cushion would like the I-LE mattress.

Those who like the premium I-10 mattress, but want more size options or are considering purchasing a bed with a single air chamber, could definitely choose the I-LE.

The I-LE mattress is very similar to its sister models, the I-8 and the I-10 mattress and is priced right in the middle of the two at $5299.00 for a Queen size.

Sleeping positions are a tricky topic – we all have our own, but sometimes it can get rather difficult to pinpoint that one position in which we sleep at night.

As a general rule, youll find that most Sleep Number bed reviews talk about three main sleeping positions – back, stomach and side.

This isnt likely to come as a surprise to you, but all the different types of sleepers require some different sleeping conditions. Well, at least most of the time – its pretty hard to please everyone with the same product, now isnt it?

However, seeing the Sleep Number mattress reviews, it would seem that the company has almost managed to do just that.

Sleep Number 360 P5 Smart Mattress

The Sleep Number 360 p5 is an air bed with one or two adjustable air chambers and a 4″ comfort layer on top. It’s an upgraded version of the Sleep Number Classic mattress series, and it has an extra layer of foam meant to enhance pressure relief.

The p5 and pSE models have the same 4-inch comfort layer and features, except the pSE comfort layer is made of a foam that will retain less heat. The pSE and the p6 each have all of the same features, including the cooler comfort layer, but the pSE has a 4-inch comfort layer vs. a 5-inch comfort layer in the p6.

A Mattress For Every Type Of Sleeper

The 360 Smart Bed is available in a number of iterations and sizes. You can choose between full-split, top-split, and no-split mattresses, depending on whether you sleep alone or with a partner, in sizes ranging from twin to California king. Prices start at $1,399 and go as high as $5,699 for the mattress itself adding a base costs extra.

We tested a full-size, no-split p5 mattress with a FlexFit 1 base. With home installation and delivery included, it came to a total of $3,896.62. The p5 is a medium-support mattress with a four-inch comfort layer and a profile height of 10 inches. More premium models, like the i8 and i10, come with higher profiles and thicker comfort layers, and are made of cooling materials. You don’t have to buy a base , but keep in mind that you can’t use these mattresses with box springs.

The Sleep Number Cooling Memory Foam

The m7 is the only Sleep Number bed that offers the hugging sensation of memory foam. If you and your sleep partner prefer a light memory-foam cradling, and if you cant agree on a firmness level, then the m7 may be a worthwhile, albeit expensive, option. However, the company doesnt divulge what, exactly, is in that foamy comfort portion, so we dont know how dense, and therefore durable, it is. The sinky-ness of the m7 is comparable to that of most online foam mattresses . It has a slight sinking sensation, but not the more-assertive curve-conforming feel of something like the Tempur-Adapt.
