Because my back is full of rods nuts and bolts, finding the right mattress wasn’t looking like it was possible until I tried my Tempur-Pedic breeze. When your in pain, you tend to feel hot. Not only is this bed comfortable, I can always find that cool spot that helps with the pain. I had another adjustable bed, it was great, but after 15 years, it was time to replace it. JURY IS STILL OUT
While the bed definitely has helped with significantly reducing pain from my long standing back issues, it sleeps quite hot despite the fact I am using a Tempur Pedic mattress cover and sheets. It has also resulted in some shoulder and neck pain. I will give it a few more weeks.

Early in 2017, Sleep Number introduced its 360 Smart Beds series. Part of the smart bed trend, the beds in this series will automatically adjust the Sleep Number and the position in response to sensors monitoring of the users movements. For two-user beds, this includes separate adjustments for each side.
The models in this series include the new p6 Bed from the Performance Series and two the new i7 Bed and the revised i10 Bed from the Innovation Series. The Memory Foam Series has been discontinued. By January 2018, they no longer listed their beds by the existing series, but as Sleep Number Beds and 360 Smart Beds.
2018 Revisions Down to One
In 2016, three to four Sleep Number beds had memory foam. These included the regularly listed m7, m9, and i10, and the occasionally listed limited edition models mLE and iLE. This does not take into account beds made especially for the shopping channel QVC. Now the new i7 Bed is the only Sleep Number model with memory foam. The i10 and the iLE have been revised in height and content, no longer including memory foam in their constructions.

My hips don’t ache anymore!
We had a very firm serta icomfort that hurt my hips. I’m a side sleeper. Last year we added one of the latex toppers. That helped, but not enough. We recently got a medium mattress and are using it with the topper. It has been great!

Sleep Number currently shows two models in its Memory Foam Series of adjustable airbeds, the 12 high m7 and the 10m6. For some reason the 13m9 is no longer shown. The 13mLE, a limited edition model, only appears when it is a featured sale item.
Like all Select Comfort beds, the Sleep Number m6 features adjustable air support. Memory Foam Series beds have one or two air chambers, depending on the bed size and the options. Twin size beds have only a single chamber. Full and Queen have the option of single or air support. King sizes all have dual chambers.
The pressure in the air chambers of the m6 is controlled by a wireless hand-held remote. It shows a number on its screen, the Sleep Number for the comfort level of the air in the mattress. There are only three buttons on the remote, Up, Down and a button with an O on it. Sleep Number says that the remote remembers you and your ideal support, and guides you to your SleepNumber® setting.
Select Comfort now has SleepIQ as an option for the m6. This system monitors the users sleep, measuring breathing, heart rate and movements and calculates a SleepIQ number. Night-after-night, an average number emerges. The user can find out which Sleep Number settings produce the best sleep and comfort. According to Select Comfort, Theres nothing to wear, nothing to turn on. All you have to do is sleep.
